Wealth Wonks New Location
Wealth Wonks and the NFL
..........................................................................................................
Wealth Wonks' New Location
The spring of 2006 heralds an exciting
new chapter in Wealth Wonks’ history as the
company moves into its new corporate
headquarters in Colorado Springs' hip new
“SoDo” neighborhood. Following the trend
of major cities renovating historic downtown
warehouse districts, Colorado Springs’
“Southern Downtown” - or SoDo - area
combines turn of the century architecture
with the energy of a dynamic new arts district.
Wealth Wonks’ new corporate suite is a
showpiece of 19th century industrial construction
combined with the 21st century
conveniences expected today.
The new offices are located in The
Trolley Buildings, a hundred year old building
that originally served as a maintenance
facility for Colorado Springs’ extensive trolley
system. The new headquarters features
5,700 square feet of office space with
soaring 24 feet ceilings, original exterior
brick work, cement floors and ceiling beams
and a stunning view of Pikes Peak.

Wealth Wonks and the NFL: A Winning Combination
The Super Bowl may have signaled the
end of the 2005 NFL football season but it
was only the beginning of work for the
Wealth Wonks team. Just after Valentine’s
Day, Wealth Wonks’ staff joined forces with
Domann–Pittman, a Colorado-based sports
agency, to host 13 NFL athletes and their
guests in Los Cabos, Mexico to discuss the
unique wealth management needs of professional
athletes.
The weekend began with a reception at
a local restaurant, where Mitch welcomed
the group and provided an overview of the
itinerary for the short trip. The next morning,
Mitch took the assembled group
through a presentation addressing the athletes’
unique financial opportunities and
challenges as well as Wealth Wonks’ distinctive
wealth engineering strategies. The athletes
proved to be very astute about managing
their own financial resources in the face
of the unusual challenges faced by professional
football players.
The financial savvy displayed by the
rookies was impressive to all in attendance. Their focus was on
their families, their legacies and future generational
wealth they could build with sound
wealth management practices.
Following the financial seminar, the
athletes and their guests had opportunities to
enjoy the sights and sounds of Los Cabos, by
either joining a golf outing or spending the
afternoon deep sea fishing. The final morning,
Wealth Wonks hosted the entire group
on a tour to view the spectacular waters
surrounding the tip of the Baja Peninsula:
the Gulf of California (the Sea of Cortes) to
the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Mitch commented on this new venture
for the Wealth Wonks team saying, “Professional
athletes have very specific financial
needs. NFL players have to be able to convert
a short term income stream into a
wealth management portfolio that can last a
lifetime. We at Wealth Wonks look forward
to helping the athletes that wish to create an
ongoing financial legacy for themselves and
their families for years to come."
